2026-2027 Co-Chairs: Martha Shenkenberg and Tom Wang

Done in a Day provides hands-on service opportunities for members of Pasadena Rotary. The volunteer events and projects last from two to eight hours during one day. Pasadena Rotary selects a variety of activities scheduled throughout the year to provide meaningful help to schools and non-profit organizations in the community.

The services that we provide can be physical activities such as painting, cleaning, and gardening; the sorts of tasks that are fun to do with a group of people working together. Some examples include painting a classroom in a school, organizing clothing for an organization to give away, cooking meals for a homeless shelter, hanging the lights along Christmas Tree Lane, picking oranges at The Huntington to donate to a food bank, and reading and scoring essays for scholarship applications.

Rotarians helped two Altadena homeowners clear their empty lots of brush, branches, dead plants and other fire hazards.  Each found it to be a rewarding experience!
